Downtown Syracuse Dining Weeks to Dish Out Record Number of Restaurants

The most popular winter dining event in Downtown Syracuse returns in two weeks. To the delight of diners, Downtown Syracuse Dining Weeks begins President’s Day, Monday, February 16 and continues through Sunday, March 1. Downtown Syracuse Dining Weeks is presented by Renzi Foodservice and the Downtown Committee of Syracuse. Now in its 11th year, Dining Weeks is recognized as the mid-winter celebration of Downtown Syracuse restaurants. This year, 27 restaurants - the most to participate to date - will dish out three courses for $25 or less. There are six new restaurants, including one that is opening this week.

This year’s event showcases the unique dining variety of Syracuse’s city center. Whether you’re craving Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Cajun, Irish, Mexican, Thai, Pan American, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or Tapas— your taste buds will find all options represented across Dining Weeks menus.

Fun Facts to Chew On:

  • Six restaurants are new to Downtown Dining Weeks: Bamboo House, Byblos Bar & Grill, Funk ‘n Waffles, LoFo, Maxwell’s, and Modern Malt – which is opening this week. 
  • Five of the 27 participating restaurants were part of the Downtown Committee of Syracuse’s first-ever Dining Week in 2005: Bull & Bear Pub, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub, The Mission, and Pastabilities.
  • Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub, and Pastabilities have participated in Downtown Dining Week(s) every year since 2005.
  • Restaurants from five Downtown Syracuse neighborhoods are represented: Armory Square, Cathedral Square, Clinton Square, the Convention District, and Hanover Square.
  • To eat at all 27 restaurants during Downtown Syracuse Dining Weeks, you would have to visit 1.9 each day.
