Enjoy Downtown Syracuse by Bicycle!

Downtown Syracuse is bicycle friendly!

The Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council (SMTC) offers bicycle and pedestrian maps as well as additional resources to learn about bicycle and pedestrian safety and the rules of the road.

Cyclists may ride through Downtown Syracuse by accessing the Empire State Trail through Clinton and Hanover Squares and the Onondaga Creekwalk, which begins in Armory Square, behind the Museum of Science and Technology (The MOST). The Onondaga Creekwalk is a bicycle and pedestrian pathway that connects Downtown Syracuse to Onondaga Lake.
