2025 Arts & Crafts Festival

Syracuse, NY – Tomorrow the 54th annual Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival, presented by M&T Bank in partnership with the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, kicks off in Columbus Circle and surrounding streets. The neighborhood will come alive with artists, craftspeople, street performers, strolling musicians and summer refreshments! The free, family-friendly festival begins on Friday, July 25 and runs through Sunday, July 27. Located at the intersection of East Onondaga, East Jefferson and Montgomery Streets, visitors are invited to visit the Information Booth situated in front of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (map), for full festival information. The festival is recognized as one of the most prestigious shows of its kind in Central New York and has earned several national accolades over the years. During the three-day festival, attendees can explore a diverse range of contemporary arts and crafts, including ceramics, sculptures, photography, painting, woodwork, jewelry, clothing and much more. The Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival, presented by M&T Bank features close to 140 talented artists, representing 22 states and Mexico. A list of the participating artists with a preview of their work as well as an entertainment schedule is available on the event website. The Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival is the longest-running festival in Downtown Syracuse and is part of the Syracuse Art Trail, a collaborative project between CNY Arts and local arts & culture organizations. "The festival is one of our signature events that artists and families eagerly anticipate each year," said Merike Treier, Executive Director of the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. "Attendees can expect talented artists showcasing their works, along with strolling entertainment, and family activities right in the heart of our city. We invite everyone to experience the festival and discover everything that Downtown has to offer." The Downtown Committee is grateful for the support of presenting sponsor M&T Bank and their continued dedication to this region’s success. “M&T Bank is proud to once again present the Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival, a cherished summer tradition here in Central New York,” said Steve Gorczynski, M&T Bank Central New York Regional President. “This festival is a vibrant celebration of artistic talent and community pride. We’re honored to support an event that brings people together, invigorates downtown, and highlights the creative spirit that makes Syracuse so special.” There is something for everyone in the family to experience at the festival. On Saturday and Sunday, join the Everson Museum of Art for a collaborative mural activity inspired by Nancy Friedemann-Sánchez’s exhibition Dream Map and Cornucopia, on view at the Everson through October 19th. Participants are invited to paint or illustrate a native flower, plant, or animal of their choosing, and contribute to our mural featuring flora and fauna of Central New York. This activity is free and art making supplies and tools provided. Everson staff and teaching artists will be available on site for technical and creative guidance. This takes place on Friday and Saturday and is free of charge. In addition, Redhouse's Education Department presents The Open Hand Legacy's Living Legends Parade Puppets. On Saturday, come and witness over 50 artists transform the sidewalks of Montgomery Street (200 block) during the Stay Fresh Chalk Jam. Attendees will also enjoy a range of live entertainment, featuring strolling musicians and performers. Additionally, the Syracuse Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present mini-organ recitals at Plymouth Congregational Church over the course of the festival. The Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival, presented by M&T Bank, runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday, July 25, and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27.
