WHAT: A beloved tradition in Downtown Syracuse of welcoming the summer season is the installation of the hanging flower baskets along the Downtown streets. On the morning of Tuesday, May 26, the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. will begin placing over 300 of these vibrant baskets across the Downtown area.
This initiative began in 2011 in collaboration with the Cathedral Square Neighborhood Association and has since expanded to include the Armory Square, Clinton Square, Hanover Square, and Heart of Downtown neighborhoods, as part of the Downtown Committee’s greater beautification efforts.
The hanging flower baskets are brought to you by the Downtown Committee of Syracuse and the Downtown Syracuse Foundation, in partnership with Beautification Sponsors, Commonspace, Nave Law Firm, Syracuse Haulers as well as nearly 60 businesses and individuals who have contributed through tax-deductible contributions made to the Downtown Syracuse Foundation, Inc.
