Ray LaMontagne - Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour

Join Ray LaMontagne on the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour.

Ray's vast catalog spans nine full length records, chart topping radio singles, and a Grammy win, in addition to multiple Grammy nominations. This year will prove to be an exciting one for LaMontagne as he heads out on the road celebrating his first full length album, Trouble, playing the album in its entirety as well as songs from across his catalog.

Of this landmark anniversary, LaMontagne has written the following personal note to his fans:

As many of you know, last September was the 20th anniversary of the release of Trouble. Twenty years. Two Decades. That's a lot of water under the bridge. Every cell in my body has changed three times over in that time. I have been three times reborn.

There are moments in your life when you need to place a marker. Some people think that it is brave, or fearless, to never look back. I don’t believe that. For the simple reason that if you never look back you will never see how far you have come. This year I place a sign post: twenty years of Trouble.

When Trouble was initially released Vinyl was considered a dead format, never to breathe again

Digital audio was the new King. As we know this has proved untrue. Each year more and more music lovers are listening to Vinyl and appreciating it for its depth and breadth of sound, for its physical heft, for its tangible realness. Over the past few months Brian Lee and Bob Jackson at Waygate Mastering have remastered the album for the first time specifically for Vinyl. And I have to say, it sounds incredible. They have managed to bring out subtleties in the vocals, the instrumentation, that were somehow lost previously. It sounds as if a sonic veil has been lifted. I cannot thank them enough.

To further honor this moment I will be hitting the road later this summer for the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour, playing the album top to tail for the first time since it was released. I hope you will come out and join me and my friends and help us celebrate this moment in time. It wouldn’t be the same without you.

To further honor this moment I will be hitting the road later this summer for the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour, playing the album top to tail for the first time since it was released. I hope you will come out and join me and my friends and help us celebrate this moment in time. It wouldn’t be the same without you.

Lessons in Geometry

Artists have obsessed over the relationship between mathematics and art for millennia. As artists turned toward abstraction in the early twentieth century, Europeans like Piet Mondrian used geometry to create a set of rules and parameters that guided their creative process. Meanwhile, American artists began developing their own styles and movements—particularly Abstract Expressionism, which was typified by bold, quickly executed brushwork, drips, and splashes. In the mid-twentieth century in the United States, artists laid the groundwork for Geometric Abstraction as a more cerebral alternative to the often macho flamboyance of Abstract Expressionism. Over the ensuing decades, artists used geometry to produce abstract works that ranged from the dazzling Op Art of Victor Vasarely to the restrained Minimalism of Sol LeWitt.

Lessons in Geometry traces the evolution of hard-edged abstraction in the United States as artists sought to use pure geometric forms to create works with balance, harmony, and order. For these artists, shape, line, and color took precedence over representational compositions. The Everson’s collection reflects the wildly varied ways that artists have used geometry to serve their personal expression, from the analytical formulations of Robert Swain to the shaped canvases of Harmony Hammond and the spatial illusions of Tony King.

Justin Willman: One For The Ages Tour

Fresh off the release of Magic Lover—Netflix’s first-ever magic comedy special—Justin Willman is hitting the road with an all-new tour: One for the Ages.

Willman is best known as the star and creator of Netflix’s Magic for Humans and Magic Prank Show, where his signature mix of mind-blowing magic and relatable humor has made him a streaming favorite, a viral hit (1 billion views and counting), and a fan favorite for families, comedy lovers, and skeptics alike.

He’s appeared on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and Conan, and was recently named “Stage Magician of the Year” by the Magic Castle. He’s performed at the White House, packed theaters across the country, and managed to make grown adults openly weep over a card trick. But the live show? That’s where the real magic happens.

One for the Ages is Justin’s biggest tour to date, featuring brand-new material and more. It’s an interactive, laugh-filled, sleight-of-mind experience that’s smart, silly, and astonishing.

And yes—it’s the kind of show you can bring your kids, your date, or your dad to. All ages. All generations. All-new.

This is One for the Ages.

Canal as Collaborator: Works by Sarah Cameron Sunde & Kari Varner

How do we reconcile our engineered past with an ecological future?

2025 Erie Canal Artists-in-Residence Sarah Cameron Sunde and Kari Varner explore the Canal from an environmental lens.

Kari Varner, a distinguished photographer and educator, explored key ecological sites along the canal, integrating harvested plants into her photographic artworks. Sarah Cameron Sunde, an innovative interdisciplinary artist, engaged with canal communities to create pieces that physically and ecologically connect with the canal. She also developed work in collaboration with Jeremy Dennis, a contemporary fine art photographer and an enrolled Tribal Member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton, NY.

FIFTEEN MINUTES: HOMAGE TO ANDY WARHOL (VERTICAL STREET EXHIBITION)

FIFTEEN MINUTES: Homage to Andy Warhol / Vertical Street Edition

Exhibition in Sight (and Sound Online)

(February 13th, 2026 - April 8th, 2026)

⭐️ NOW EXTENDED THROUGH 5/30/26

 Look Up!

MIDOMA Gallery is proud to present this exciting showcase at its newest Street Gallery location 231 E Washington St in Downtown Syracuse in vertical fashion. All 3 corners of this “Flatiron” building feature one of the exhibition pieces in each window floor 2-7. As part of the original exhibition, the 2nd floor of the SW corner features a Warhol Portrait by Christopher Makos. In absence of “The First Time” by Ivan Carp, the 2nd floor of the NW corner features an alternate Homage to Andy titled "Fab Cats" (Everyone Is Famous) by Not Miscellaneous.

"FIFTEEN MINUTES," an exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of Andy Warhol through digital prints and original audio recordings from a diverse array of artists, writers, and performers who knew, worked with, or were inspired by him. Featured artists include renowned figures such as Patti Smith, Ivan Karp, Billy Name, and Bob Dylan, among others.

This unique  exhibition presents each artist’s visual works alongside their corresponding audio pieces, creating a dynamic interplay of sound and vision in homage to Warhol’s innovative spirit. Highlights include Patti Smith's poignant poem "Edie," reflecting on Warhol Superstar Edie Sedgwick, and Nat Finkelstein’s striking screen-printed photograph of Warhol alongside Dylan in the Factory, capturing the essence of their relationship against the backdrop of Warhol’s iconic Elvis paintings. Bob Dylan’s song “When I Paint My Masterpiece” offers a critique of Warhol’s fame and success, further enriching the exploration of Warhol’s influence.

Originally curated by the late Jeff Gordon and Path Soong, the exhibition aims to extend the dialogue about Warhol's legacy through both visual art and sound. Gordon, a long-time admirer of Warhol, first conceptualized blending recordings from visual artists during his time as co-owner of Greene Street Recording Studio in the early '80s.

The FIFTEEN MINUTES Box, a multimedia tribute to Andy Warhol and his creative circle, sponsored by Sony was originally released through Sony’s Legacy Recordings on August 6th (Warhol’s birthday) 2011 and is available for sale in Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe box (limited edition) contains 16 signed and numbered silkscreen prints, three CDs, four vinyl records, and notes.

"FIFTEEN MINUTES" has previously been showcased in 2011-2017 at esteemed institutions, including:

- Pollock-Krasner House & Study Center, East Hampton, NY

- The Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh, PA

- Burke Library, Hamilton College, Clinton, NY

- Case-Geyer Library, Colgate University, Hamilton, NY

- Museum of Contemporary Art, Beijing, China

Enjoy this remarkable exhibition that pays tribute to one of the most influential figures in contemporary art street-side.

A Long Look: Documentary Photography, 1888-2016

A Long Look: Documentary Photography, 1888-2016 traces more than a century of photographers turning their lenses toward the world as witnesses, advocates, and storytellers. From the late nineteenth century, when advances in camera technology first allowed photographers to record spontaneous moments, to the bold and colorful images of today, documentary photography has shaped how people see the world, both its past and its present.

Documentary photographers traditionally immerse themselves in their subjects. Bruce Davidson spent ten days living in the mining communities of South Wales producing his Welsh Miners portfolio. Aaron Siskind’s Harlem Document project plays out over nine years, showing the vibrant life of Black Americans in Harlem in the 1930s. Donna Ferrato has spent decades documenting survivors of domestic violence and advocating for their welfare. Documentary photographers reveal how sustained engagement with their subjects, over ten days or several decades, produces images that challenge stereotypes, humanize the unfamiliar, and deepen public understanding.

Spanning from 1888 to 2016, A Long Look invites viewers to consider the significance of documentary photography as a medium, asking how photographs shape collective memory and inspire social awareness. Documentary photographers must often navigate the tension between art and journalism, frequently occupying a grey area between the two. A Long Look is presented in conjunction with LIFE: Six Women Photographers to foster discussions on the relationship between documentary photography and photojournalism.

Renqian Yang: Neither Here nor Elsewhere

Throughout her career, Renqian Yang has consistently embraced duality. It is unsurprising that her favored material is porcelain, whose dual properties are fragility and permanence. Porcelain’s uses range from industrial materials like insulators and laboratory ware to Ming vases and Meissen figurines. Porcelain begins as earth but, after firing, evokes transcendence. Despite its solidity, porcelain is translucent when held up to the light. Porcelain has beguiled and seduced artists and collectors for centuries.

Working in China, Yang has traced porcelain’s origins to its invention there more than 1300 years ago. Her Chinese porcelains reflect the angular shapes of China’s vibrant urban cityscapes but also contain organic elements that evoke human emotion. Imagery drawn from 20th century Communist prints mingle with deeply spiritual classical brush painting. In many of Yang’s works, pure white porcelain stands in stark contrast to vibrant colors.

Neither Here nor Elsewhere features works Yang made in her home studio in Oswego and during residencies in China and North Carolina, all deeply rooted in place while simultaneously reflecting porcelain’s ubiquity and universality. Yang makes porcelain a vehicle for inquiry, reflection, and self-expression. She brings together organic and constructed forms, personal experience and collective histories, her work exploring how emotions persist, transform, and connect humanity across time, place, and culture.

Nanni Valentini: Interspaces

Over the half-century span of its Ceramic National exhibitions, the Everson launched the career of countless American ceramists. In 1942 and 1958, the scope of the Ceramic Nationals became international, showcasing talents from both the Western hemisphere and Europe. On the advice of Italian artist Lucio Fontana, a brilliant ceramist in his own right, the 1958 Ceramic International introduced Nanni Valentini to the world. Valentini received a coveted purchase prize, and his work was exhibited on that year’s circuit, which included the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Detroit Institute of Arts.

By the time he exhibited at the Ceramic International, Valentini’s work had begun to move away from strict functionality. Although his studies were rooted in pottery traditions at the Istituto d’Arte per la Ceramica in Faenza, Valentini saw himself as a fine artist rather than craftsman. In the 1960s, he began creating conceptual wall-based ceramics that drew from exciting developments in Italian painting. By the 1970s, he produced a groundbreaking series of works called Trasparenza (Transparency), which further broke down the barriers between painting and sculptural object. Before his untimely death in 1985, Valentini established that ceramics were an inextricable part of the fine art canon.

In collaboration with the Nanni Valentini Archive, Fondazione Museo della Ceramica di Savona, and ABC-ARTE, Interspaces re-introduces Valentini’s groundbreaking work to American audiences.

Realities Within

Realities Within presents four enduring genres of artmaking to explore how artists shape, frame, and inhabit the world. Whether a landscape, cityscape, still life, or representation of the human body, these works show how each artist’s reality is impacted by their lived experience. Separated by genre and installed “salon-style”—a term inspired by the eighteenth and nineteenth century Paris Salons, where paintings were hung from floor to ceiling, covering every inch of wall space—the dense arrangement invites close looking and visual comparison, encouraging viewers to find connections across time, style, and subject matter.

The landscape section explores artists’ responses to the natural world, from expansive vistas to intimate views. In contrast, the cityscape section examines the built environment, capturing rhythms of urban life and the evolving character of towns and cities across America. The still life section turns inward, focusing on interior spaces and objects arranged and captured with deliberation. The section with representations of the body centers on the human presence, revealing varied approaches to capturing likeness, identity, and expression.

Featuring old favorites alongside new acquisitions, Realities Within offers a dynamic survey of artistic observation, highlighting how artists have continually returned to these genres to interpret the visible world.

LIFE: Six Women Photographers

LIFE founder and editor-in-chief, Henry R. Luce, was convinced that American political, economic, and cultural power would, and should, dominate the era he defined as the “American Century.” Photojournalism, or “photo essays” as he coined them, could effectively shape an authentically American vision of the United States as an international power, inspiring its people, in Luce’s words, “to live and work and fight with vigor and enthusiasm.” By giving readers vivid images of industrial strength, women and the family, race relations, World War II, labor, and the Cold War, the photographers in this exhibition contributed to this view of the United States as a global player seeking its identity on the world stage.Six pioneering female photographers were among those who contributed to LIFE’s pursuit of this American character: Margaret Bourke-White, Marie Hansen, Martha Holmes, Lisa Larsen, Nina Leen, and Hansel Mieth. These photographers were among the few women who were retained as full-time staff or on a semi-permanent basis rather than as freelancers. Their cameras captured events both international and domestic, wide-ranging and intimate, serious and playful. Central to LIFE’s reportage was the sometimes contentious relationship between photographers and editors, with each holding a stake in the ideology and content of the final essay. Ultimately, the editorial staff, not the photographers, chose which images would be published, and thus how each story was presented. In his prospectus for LIFE, Luce stressed the importance for one “to see life; to see the world; to eyewitness great events…” It was not about reading but rather about allowing the images to tell the stories. These six photographers played a vital role in Luce’s quest to achieve that end.

Amy Lincoln: Fractured Light

Amy Lincoln: Fractured Light

New York-based artist Amy Lincoln (b. 1981) paints dreamy, atmospheric landscapes and seascapes recalling her childhood under the overcast skies of the Pacific Northwest. At once tranquil and vibrant, otherworldly and familiar, Lincoln’s imagined scenes of radiant suns, calm seas, and vivid foliage present a stylized version of the natural world in every color of the rainbow. An exploration of the phenomena of light reflection and refraction, Fractured Light is Lincoln’s first solo museum exhibition.

Lincoln begins most paintings with three colors that she mixes with varying amounts of white to establish a color system unique to each work. She meticulously builds up layers of paint, creating surfaces that appear to glow from within. Through gradual tonal transitions, geometric precision, and the use of symmetry, Lincoln’s paintings capture the feeling of light moving across a landscape. In a world saturated with rapidly changing high-definition images, Lincoln’s work offers us an alternative that encourages close looking and deep engagement with color, light, and form.

About the Artist:

Born in Bloomington, Indiana in 1981, New York-based artist Amy Lincoln paints dream-like scenes of imagined landscapes, atmospheric activity and vibrant, fantastical foliage. Recalling her upbringing in Oregon, where beach visits under overcast skies were frequent, Lincoln’s paintings explore the phenomena of light reflection and refraction. She completed her MFA at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in 2006 and her BA at University of California, Davis in 2003. Lincoln’s work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Sperone Westwater (2024; 2023; 2021), Taymour Grahne Projects, London (2022), Morgan Lehman Gallery, New York (2018; 2016) and Monya Rowe Gallery, Saint Augustine, FL (2016), among others. Her work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions including Johansson Projects, Oakland, CA (2024), Columbus Museum of Art, OH (2023), The Hole, New York (2022), Sargent’s Daughters, New York (2018), and Regina Rex, New York (2017), as well as internationally at Galerie Valerie Bach, Brussels, Belgium (2020) and Taymour Grahne Projects, London (2022; 2021). Lincoln has been awarded residencies at the Wave Hill Winter Workspace program, the Inside Out Art Museum Residency in Beijing, and a Swing Space residency from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Columbus Museum of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia.
