The 2026 Spring Spotlight Series: "Growing Downtown Syracuse" will feature exciting updates and behind the scenes looks at projects transforming Downtown Syracuse.

Our guest speakers are:

Franklin Fry, Executive Director of Redhouse Arts Center. In his current role, Franklin is responsible for overall operations, financial progress, sponsor and donor relations, community engagement initiatives, and strategic planning. He will speak about the impact of Arts & Culture to Downtown Syracuse as well as a broader industry and share a behind the scenes look at Redhouse Arts Center.

Michael Greene, Director of City Real Estate with CBD Companies. Mike will talk about his plans for a new bar and event venue in Downtown Syracuse, located in the landmark Mizpah Tower, a six-story Gothic-style building built in 1914 overlooking downtown's Columbus Circle. He will tell his story about why he chose this space and how he hopes it will become a staple to the Downtown community.

Duyen Nguyen, Owner, Cake Bar and Tea House. Duyen has expanded to four Downtown Syracuse locations in just five years. She will share her story of working in the industry, going to college, and ultimately deciding to be a business owner. Duyen started in Salt City Market, and you will hear how she is continously striving to make an impact.
